How do we transition away from the things we love and treasure?
From what saved us, nourished us, provided for us,
From the foundation for our next step.
A realization these gifts were divinely designed to prepare us,
Presented at a fortuitous moment, meant to be let go.
Now, having become a fiber of our being,
Our time to depart has arrived.
They served their purpose, so I may fulfill my destiny.
How to step toward what calls us?
Slowly, reluctantly.
Then, with understanding, profound gratitude, and acceptance,
We gently make our first step away and toward.
As we learn to walk away,
Looking back with reverence and awe.
Life is so rich.
Life is rich.
